A much-loved home on the water, ready for her next chapter.
We love this boat. We love living on her. The only reason we're selling is that we've realised we're not sailors!
SASHA has been our home and our adventure, and we've put a great deal of time, care and money into making her a comfortable place to live. Now we'd love to find someone who can take her into her next chapter -- whether that's extended cruising, exploring the coast, or enjoying the freedom of life aboard.
Sasha is a custom Australian-built Peter Brady 38.5ft sailing catamaran, built with cedar-core, epoxy and fibreglass construction. She offers generous accommodation, a practical layout and a substantial range of upgrades to her electrical systems, galley, interior, deck gear and mechanical components.
She's an older boat, and we're realistic that there will always be things to improve and projects for her next owner. But we've invested heavily in the systems and comforts that matter to us, and we're proud of the home we've created.
A comfortable home afloat
Sasha has three cabins -- two larger cabins with queen beds and new memory-foam mattresses, plus a third smaller cabin with a double bed -- comfortably accommodating up to six.
The saloon table also drops down to create an additional sleeping space, handy for a smaller person or for extra flexibility on overnight passages.
With two heads and a full indoor shower in a separate bathroom, she's well suited to extended time aboard, whether cruising as a couple, travelling with family or sharing adventures with friends.
We've carried out a substantial interior and galley refit, creating a more practical and inviting space for everyday living. Improvements include:
* Refreshed galley with a new Eno gas burner and oven, new double sink and tapware.
* New 130l Dometic fridge with removable freezer compartment.
* Soft-close kitchen drawers and updated benchtops.
* New saloon flooring and improved LED lighting throughout.
* Custom designed and upolstered couch with storage.
* Dedicated office and coffee station.
* Drop-down saloon table, providing flexible living and sleeping space.
* Outdoor teak table and upgraded captain's chair.
Outside, the cockpit provides a comfortable place to enjoy meals, sundowners and relaxed afternoons at anchor.
Set up for independent living
One of Sasha's major strengths is her off-grid capability, with significant investment in her electrical systems and onboard power generation to support a more independent lifestyle away from shore power.
Her upgrades include:
* Custom 620Ah slimline lithium house battery bank, from Custom Lithium.
* Separate lead acid starter batteries for the engines.
* Comprehensive 12V wiring refit, including a new distribution board, wiring and fuses.
* Victron inverter/charger, solar charge controllers, DC-DC chargers and battery monitoring equipment.
* Three Victron 360W solar panels (1,080W total), mounted on a custom powder-coated solar arch.
* Additional original 475W solar panel (brand unknown).
* Two portable 300W solar blankets (600W total), with additional MPPT charging capacity.
* Brand-new 'Water Makers Australia' 120L per hour water-maker, purchased in 2026 for approximately $7,500 which runs off the inverter.
* Yamaha EF2200S portable generator, with approximately 5-6 hours of running time.
* 12V and 240V onboard electrical systems.
* 30L hot-water system.
Combined, Sasha has 1,555W of fixed solar capacity and a further 600W of portable solar, providing up to 2,155W of rated solar capacity when the portable blankets are deployed.
Victron electrical equipment
The installed Victron equipment includes:
* 1 × MultiPlus-II 12V, 3000W inverter with 120A AC charger.
* 2 × MPPT 150/70 solar charge controllers.
* 1 × 100/50 MPPT solar charge controller for solar blankets.
* 2 × Orion Smart 12/12 30A DC-DC chargers.
* 1 × SmartShunt 1000A battery monitor.
* 2 × Lynx Distributor units.
* 1 × Victron Ekrano GX digital colour screen
Together with her substantial lithium house bank and generator, these systems provide a strong foundation for comfortable living aboard and spending extended time away from marinas and shore facilities.
Mechanical work and maintenance
Sasha is powered by twin Nanni 38hp diesel engines, currently showing approximately 2,600 hours each.
Significant shaft and propulsion work was completed in Exmouth in August 2026, including:
* Removal and straightening of both the propeller shafts.
* Propeller servicing.
* Replacement of cutlass bearings.
* PSIS shaft seals removed, re-faced and re-lapped
* Stern-tube repairs.
In March 2026, Sasha was lifted in Mandurah for antifouling, PropSpeed application and associated maintenance.
Other improvements include replacement of all thru hulls with Tru Design composite thru-hulls and seacocks, new bilge pumps and shower sump, and a rebuilt toilet system.
The standing rigging was checked in 2025, with a receipt available. Receipts and supporting documentation can be provided where available, giving prospective buyers a clearer picture of the maintenance and improvements carried out during our ownership.
Sailing, deck gear and equipment
Sasha comes with a versatile sail inventory for a range of sailing conditions. The sails show signs of wear consistent with their age but remain in full working order.
* Fully battened mainsail with sail bag, lazy jacks and two reefing points.
* Furling genoa with UV protection.
* Furling screecher with UV protection.
Deck gear and upgrades
A number of practical upgrades have been made to improve comfort and ease of handling aboard:

* Remote control for the anchor windlass.
* Captain's chair with bolster.
* Brand-new clears, shade canvas, sail bag and dinghy cover, installed in early 2026.
* 25kg Rochna Mk 2 anchor and additional 20mm anchor chain, added in 2026.
* 25kg Rochna original anchor (second anchor)
* Additional fuel carried in jerry cans: approximately 120L of diesel and 40L of petrol for the generator and dinghy.
* Upgraded tender davits designed to make dinghy retrieval easier when handling the boat single-handed.
* Teak cockpit table.
* Fenders and mooring lines included.
Dinghy package
Included is a 3.5m Highfield dinghy, fitted with a Suzuki 20hp outboard featuring electric start and power tilt.
The Suzuki outboard was purchased new in 2025, with servicing completed, including its first-year service in February 2026.
The dinghy package also includes a Lowrance 5-inch depth sounder, making it a practical setup for exploring anchorages and getting ashore.

Time for someone else's adventure
Sasha has been much more than a boat to us. She's been our home, and we've genuinely loved the experience of living aboard. We've put considerable time, care and investment into making her more comfortable and practical, from the major electrical and mechanical work to the little details that make everyday life on the water enjoyable.
We're selling because we've realised that, while we love life on the water, we're not really sailors! We'd love to find Sasha a new owner who can embrace the sailing, explore new horizons and enjoy the adventures she's capable of offering.
If you're dreaming of extended coastal cruising, exploring remote anchorages or creating your own home on the water, Sasha could be the boat to start your next chapter.
