ReefKnot is the ultimate 1 to 2 person liveaboard, go-anywhere yacht. Apart from her extremely sturdy 5mm steel hull, she features timber topsides and an incredible pilot house. If you are planning on living aboard a boat, especially in cooler, cold, or very hot conditions, a pilot house is essential.
ReefKnot is very well appointed and set up for single-handed sailing. She has been extremely well maintained and has recently had a Coppercoat bottom applied. Her Nanni 50HP diesel engine (1,260 hours) is an amazing motor, capable of running continuously for hours or even days. With a 600-litre fuel capacity, you only need to fill up occasionally, and the 250-litre water tank allows you to stay off-grid for days on end.
Her rig is solid, with new rigging completed around five years ago, and it remains as strong as they come. She has dual furling headsails, all lines feeding aft, and a fully battened mainsail fitted with a new Tides Marine mast track, making sail handling easy in any conditions. Additional features include a brand new jib, 600W of solar, 400Ah house batteries, a 4-person liferaft, diesel heater, excellent autopilot, and much more.
ReefKnot is no ordinary yacht. She is an extremely capable and very safe vessel that can truly sail. In 15 knots and above, she really moves. We have had her surfing waves in Bass Strait at up to 21 knots. Her interior layout is also excellent for two people, with a separate and very comfortable aft cabin positioned in the best part of the boat. The living area is open and practical, featuring a great LPG gas stove, head with hot shower, and plenty of comfort throughout.
