Truant is offered for sale due to current owners health issues. After an aborted trip to Indonesia, 7/2025 and an attempt to return to Qld, departed Darwin May 2026 and got as far as Groote Eylandt before making the heartbreaking decision to turn around, she is currently anchored at Gove harbour NT. She is still set up and ready to go to Indonesia or where ever.
Plan is now to Return to Darwin in the next few weeks.
After a major fire, November 2021, she was completely stripped out, rebuilt and relaunched November 2024. All internal fitting are less than 3 years old with some gear only 12 months old as these were purchased and fitted just prior to departing Maryborough Qld May last year ( life raft, chart plotter, hydraulic steering, auto pilot, etc).
Truant has current comprehensive insurance and will possibly be returning to Tipperary marina. She is stocked with upto 2 months of provisions and what is to be left aboard will be negotiated with buyer.
After rebuilding Truant was set up for comfortable live aboard and blue water cruiser. Quater berths were converted to extra water tanks and storage but can be easily changed back to accommodation.
All the engine spares and filters for remote cruising are aboard including spare starter motor and a second hand alternator.
Boxes of quality hand tools and Ryobi cordless tools aboard but these will need to be negotiated.
Spare bilge pumps, sump pump, water pumps and miscellaneous electrical spares included.
Port barrel not included.
Good clean linen to be included if required. Upholstery is basic but functional.
Trim around Galley was not finished but what is there is clean (new) and fit for purpose.
Truant is due for antifouling but still not to bad. Was dived on and scrubed last month.
Yes there is a bit of rust on deck and cabin top ( she has done 5000nm in the last 12months) and a few battle scars on hull, but nothing that can't be easily tided up.
