Description: Catalina 320
Arguably the best Catalina 320 in Australia. This 2-owner boat has been well cared for and lightly used for coastal cruising on Australia's east coast and the Bass Strait islands, and some twilight racing on Sydney harbour. It has had several upgrades that make it ideally setup for coastal cruising for a couple or small family. The Yanmar 3YM30 has done only about 1,600 hours and has had some key components replaced recently, including exhaust mixing elbow and raw water pump, and has been professionally serviced since new. Harlequin comes with an extensive sail wardrobe, including 2 x mainsails, a 135% furling genoa, a #1 jib, a mylar racing jib (as new), and an asymmetric spinnaker with a sock (as new).

She has a 1.3m shallow draft winged keel which means you can anchor closer into the shore for better protection and allows you to explore shallower waterways. She also has custom-made 316 stainless dinghy davits to store the 2.7m Zodiac tender, making it easy and safe to raise and lower the tender for exploring secluded coves and bays while cruising. The canvas comprises a dodger and Bimini as well as connecting cockpit cover giving full shade & rain protection over the cockpit. There is also a canvas boom-bag for stowage of the mainsail with lazy jacks.

The Rocna 15 anchor has 50m of 8mm galvanised chain and 20m of nylon warp, and there is also a Rocna 10 as a spare anchor with plenty of extra anchor chain and a 50m roll of 20mm nylon anchor rope plus lots of other spare ropes. Safety has been a strong focus of the current owners hence the anchoring apparatus has been upgraded since we bought her, and the Maxwell 1500 electric anchor windlass now also has 2 x foot pedals for power up & down operation.

Harlequin was slipped and had new antifoul applied in March 2023, as well as a hull polish. She is powered by a Seahawk 3 blade feathering prop giving excellent propulsion both in forward and reverse, and she cruises at 2,400 rpm at 6 knots, with a top speed of around 8 knots. Fuel consumption is a very economical 2 litres per hour.

She has a full set of vinyl-covered cockpit cushions including 2 for the princess seats at the rear of the cockpit (the best seats in the house!).
