Catalina are one of the worlds biggest yacht builders with a reputation for innovative design and excellence in build quality. This 2013 Catalina 385 is a testament to their skills; a cleverly designed and superbly finished comfortable cruising yacht now offered for sale in excellent condition and with an impressive inventory. The Catalina 385 is an easily handled yacht with good performance and a high level of comforts, perfect for leisurely day sailing, weekends away on the water or extended coastal cruising. Her shoal draft is a huge advantage for accessing shallower sailing waters such as the Gippsland Lakes, Lake MacQuarie and many of the coastal harbours.
Enjoy the easy convenience of her in mast furling mainsail, and furling headsail with an electric cabin top halyard and mainsheet winch. Her North Sails mainsail has only been used a few times since it was first fitted late in 2023 and her North Sails furling genoa is also recent. She has a full suite of Raymarine electronics including i70 performance displays, Radar, a powerful Autopilot with ram to the steering quadrant and a 12" Hydbrid Touch Chart Plotter with multi-function displays GPS and electronic charting mounted at the helm.
The yacht is well powered by a fully maintained and reliable Yanmar 40HP 3-cylinder diesel with shaft drive and a 3-blade folding propeller. An electric windlass with power down and power up makes anchoring an easy proposition.
The Catalina 385 has an impressively comfortable and versatile accomodation plan with a private forward double island berth cabin and a very spacious owners aft cabin with a Queen sized athwartship berth. The spacious teak trimmed main cabin features a teak folding saloon table and plenty of seating. Additional sleeping berths can be provided when needed by lowering the folding saloon table to port to form another double and by lowering the central coffee table to starboard to create a single settee berth. The bathroom is generously sized with a separate shower compartment and an electric marine toilet with holding tank. Entertainment is provided by an LCD TV and a Fusion stereo system with cabin and cockpit speakers. The innovative galley design makes great use of space and has plenty of storage capacity. Features are gas stove and oven plus a microwave oven, front opening fridge, twin S/S sinks, hot & cold pressure water and a water maker.
The well protected cockpit has a Bimini sunshade and a spray doger with large clears for excellent visibility. There is a full set of fitted cockpit cushions and a stern mounted BBQ.
There is so much more to see on this well set up, professioinally maintained Catalina 385. Give us a call to make a time for an inspection at Sandringham and you could be enjoying this lovely yacht over the coming summer and beyond.
