Colin Childs Rhumb Runner

A beautifully presented classic cruising yacht, Phoenix is a Colin Childs Rhumb Runner, 32ft cutter offering timeless lines, impressive craftsmanship, and genuine cruising capability. With her sea-kindly hull, cutter rig, and reputation for being strong and seaworthy, she is the sort of yacht that turns heads in every marina while still delivering a practical, comfortable sailing experience.

Launched in 2018, she features Quilla ribs and Fijian Kauri planks with epoxy and Dynel over, a beam of 3.2m, draft of 1.5m, and displacement of 7,000kg. She is reported to sail beautifully in all conditions and averaged 6.5 knots on a recent Brisbane to Sydney passage.

A true labour of love, her keel was laid in 1995 and she was finally launched after more than 20 years of careful construction, resulting in a classic, turnkey cruising yacht with warmth, character, and real offshore appeal.
