Custom Timber Sloop

Boasting lovely lines, a rugged triple diagonal timber hull, enough varnish to keep you busy on non sailing days; and by all reports a pleasure to sail, 'Mischief is now ready for new adventures. Built in New Zealand in 1955 she was custom designed and build by her owner and shipwright Guy Goodman who crafted her Kauri timbers into a classic head-turner and named her 'Edelweiss' and in the late 50's she was sailed to Australia without the benefit of any auxiliary power. Some year later now named 'Mischief' she had her Volvo Penta diesel installed in addition to her hull and decks sheathed in fibreglass. Her current owner of eleven years, (also a shipwright) has continued sailing her near and far with journeys including far North Queensland and Tasmania. She is an attractive, tidy vessel with a solid timber fit-out, and all the basic inclusions like refrigeration, tiller pilot and a well maintained Volvo Penta D1-30. Her sails are starting to show their 15 year age but are still very serviceable and she was recently antifouled in June 2025.
