Tere is an auxiliary cutter ketch, designed by naval architect Winthrop Warner, built by Robert Newtons America Marine in Hong Kong for Louis Valier who lived in Hawaii.
Valier was a member of the Polynesian Voyaging Society, know for its teaching of ancient Polynesian non-instrument navigation.
Tere has been sailed extensively in the Pacific and has numerous original documents including drawings and personal letters between Warner and Vallier.
A major internal refit was completed by the previous owner and a substantial upgrade of most systems has been undertaken by the current owners.
Tere is well equipped for local sailing, extended vaoyaging or live aboard.
