Designed and built by Mick Emery in Devonport Tasmania and launched in
2002. A round bilge carvel design with a raked stem and transom stern with
wheelhouse aft. The vessel is divided into three compartments by two
watertight bulkheads fore & aft of the engine space. Rigged with a single mast
stepped on deck with a compression post fixed atop the keel

PROPULSION Lister 'Blackstone' dry exhaust, 4-cyl air cooled diesel motor with 920
hours recorded. Coupled to a Lister gearbox, with a ratio of 2:1. Fuel
capacity is 350 lts, retained in two x 175l mild steel tanks. Fuel
consumption is said to be 6lph with a speed of 6½ knots. The propeller
is a 3-blade 0.48M diameter by 28° pitch on a 38mm SS shaft. The
engine is battery start and no auxiliaries generator are fitted.

Solid brass manual, he anchor is a CQR - 27lb with 35M x 8mm galvanised chain. There is
a small stock anchor on the foredeck with 100M of 12mm silver line. The
deck is enclosed with solid steel handrails atop the gunwhales. The
standing rigging is stainless steel attached to through deck eye bolts..
The forestay is similarly attached to the sprit with a length of galvanised
chain. There are no chainplates.

There are two deep cycle 120a/hr 12V batteries fitted in parallel
providing 12V power for domestic use. Similarly, there are another 2
batteries for engine starting. Batteries are charged via a 12V alternator
off the main engine. A portable 2 Kva generator provides 240V power
when needed. All lighting is 12V. A single 250W solar panel is fitted on
the wheelhouse top
