Tauranga is a true blue water yacht built by the Donald Bros in Tauranga New Zealand in 1994, Australian registerd vessel.

She is constructed of WRC core with NZ Kauri ( Worlds best boatbuilding timber) strip plank and sheathed in Kevlar and GRP. Dimensions are 15.85 X 4.85 X 2.00.

Rigging was replaced in 2018 and inspected 2020. Powered by a 88HP Yanmar. A new battery bank of 7 X 110 amp was installed in November 2023.

Tauranga is fully equipped for extended cruising with electric primary and halyard winches, Leisure furl booms on both main and mizzen. Sail inventory includes 3 headsails, code zero, storm jib, main mizzen and MPS.
