Defiance 30 Sparkman and Stephens

Beautifully restored S&S Defiance 30' sailing boat.
This has been a labour of love brining this wonderful boat back to its former glory. It's resulted in a yacht that is ready to be enjoyed with nothing but regular maintenance to deal with for many years.
The top deck is freshly painted and kiwi grip has been used for fantastic grip on deck. All interior timber and flooring is either brand new or restored. All timber is marine grade and has also been sealed with Everdure before finishing, making it water tight and very, very long lasting.
The engine is a Volvo Penta in great condition with around low hours and runs very smoothly. The sail drive has been cleaned and serviced and pushes this boat along very nicely. A full service was carried out in June 25, and it has a 12 month old marine battery. All navigational electrics are in working order.
The boat was slipped cleaned and anti-fouled in April 2025. We applied a full undercoats and 2 coats of quality antifoul. It is now very smooth and fast through the water.
This was a championship winner in 1981 and is a testament to how well she still sails. The Sparkman and Stephens heritage is well known for fast well designed boats and that still holds true with this one.
She has 2 mains, 3 headsails, a spinnaker and storm sail.
A great boat for anyone wanting to enjoy the harbour, coastal cruising, or race it.

Engine appears to have been installed in 2017 but has very low hours as the previous owner seems to have fallen ill shortly after installation. While this has a few years on it, the usage is quite low and runs beautifully. A very smooth and powerful engine that pushes the boat along at approx 6.5knots. It has a sail drive which has a good twin blade prop that we cleaned and applied a fresh coat of prop-speed
