Designed by the legendary Walter Knoop, the Doven 30 is a truely versatile all rounder. "Option" is an excellent example of the design, and having crossed Bass Strait twice, has certainly proven its offshore capability. The vessel has been well maintained, and with the engine freshly serviced and hull cleaned (SEPT 2025), it is ready for a Summer of sailing! Stepping inside, the traditional timber trims and clean white finishes create a warm and welcoming ambience. There is a central folding leaf dinette in the saloon with seating for 6 in comfort on the neatly upholstered settees. The L shaped galley is to port and features a 2 burner gas strove with ovn, stainless steel sink with fresh water, icebox, and plenty of storage. The accommodation is ideal for family cruising and features a generous double berth forward, a single settee berth to port with the starboard settee berth converting to a double, plus two single pilot berths (currently used for storage). The package is complete with a bathroom with toilet and vanity.

On deck, the cockpit is well protected with the spray dodger, and is a great space to relax in your favourite anchorage. The vessel is well set up to be easily sailed short handed with the mainsail in a boom bag, furling headsail, and most lines lead back to the cockpit. The sails are in very good condition, and include 2 spinnaker for plenty of fun downwind. There is easy access around the side decks, and a Muir manual anchor winch on the bow.

This vessel is powered by a well maintained and reliable Yanmar 15HP Diesel Engine. This provides easy and economical cruising at 5 knots.
