Doven 30 GREAT FAMILY CRUISER/TWILIGHT RACER, NEW RIGGING++

A great family cruiser and twilight racer, the Doven 30 brings plenty of charm with great functionality for a vessel of its class. Designed and built in Tasmania, these vessels were incredibly popular at the time and still represent a great package. "Bob" presents in good condition with a comfortable interior that will easily sleep 5 guests and provide great comfort for extended stays onboard.

The interior presents well, with large cabin top windows providing great natural light. The saloon is spacious, featuring two opposing settees with easily enough seating for 8-10 guests around a folding timber dinette. The galley is well proportioned and wonderfully functional, featuring a stainless-steel sink, 2-burner metho stove, a large in-built ice chest and fantastic storage throughout. The starboard side features the ice chest while doubling as a nav station that provides access to the large quarter berth.

The forward accommodation is generous, accessible through a partitioned area that doubles as a dressing area and the head. Large hanging lockers oppose a neatly tucked away marine manual toilet that features a thoughtful timer cover to provide seating to the master cabin. The master berth itself provides great private accommodation for two, while a convertible berth in the saloon is possible.

Power comes from a Yanmar 15hp diesel engine which benefits from good access and regular servicing, providing simple and economical cruising. Fuel capacity is of an unknown size but is more than ample for extended cruising.

The cockpit is deep and well set up for short-handed sailing, with all controls led aft through the bimini. An upgraded and current B&G multifunction plotter is mounted facing the helm for easy use, along with a range of wind instrumentation, engine telemetry and controls for the electric Muir windlass. High railing and a deep cockpit provide a very safe environment, whether at sea or with children. The side and foredecks are uncluttered and easy to move around, featuring a solar panel on the cabin top for sustained battery life. A furling genoa makes for easy handling, further benefited from NEW 2020 stainless steel standing rigging, including a NEW mast section and NEW spreaders. All maintenance is up to date, being last slipped in March 2025.
