The Doven 30's are renowned as being very seaworthy boats with exceptional build quality. Our yacht is based on Bruny Island and comes with a long list of inclusions and additions. You won't find a better example of this fine yacht.
First up it was just slipped in February, 2024 for anti-fouling and general check under the waterline of rudder, keel and thru-hull fittings. Absolutely no sign of osmosis. The timber fitout inside is first rate and includes very large and comfortable vee berth forward. Lined with new marine lining on hull for warmth. There's a new marine toilet in it's own private compartment. Storage and hanging space opposite. The main saloon has a galley to one side with an enormous ice chest, two burner metho stove and two other large storage compartments. Lots of storage for utensils in 4 drawers.
Opposite the galley is a large settee that converts to another double berth. All upholstery is in near new condition. There are two quarter berths we use mainly for storage. All lighting is modern installation and everything works, both inside and outside.
Recent additions include
- brand new mainsail, used once only
- new Raymarine ST2000 Tillerpilot (used 4 hours)
- custom built hard dodger with sunroof and integrated solar panel
- new tinted polycarbonate windows throughout
- new chart plotter and depth sounder
- two pack paint of topsides in 2024
- new Jabsco marine toilet
- new high capacity house battery in 2023
The hard dodger makes life onboard and sailing Tassie very comfortable and offers brilliant visibility with the wrap around window. Most recent survey was done in 2020. Volvo Penta diesel is extremely reliable and allows cruising at 5 knots at 1600rpm so very economical. Comes with two spinnakers and spin pole. Furling headsail in near new condition. All lines and halyards have been upgraded in the past 12 months. It's a lovely, comfortable boat to sail and cruise on. I have done all the hard work but unfortunately I'm selling due to a serious health issue. My loss is your gain.
