HISTORY AND DETAILS OF THE YACHT / A WORD FROM THE OWNERS
"Country Roads is a Fountaine Pajot Lipari Evolution -- the upgraded model with revised interior styling and improvements to the cockpit and saloon -- set up, maintained, and proven as a true bluewater cruising catamaran.
We purchased Country Roads specifically for full-time family cruising with three kids, and the Lipari layout has proven to be an excellent fit for our cruising family. The saloon opens directly into the protected cockpit, creating a comfortable living space that works equally well underway, at anchor, and when entertaining. The cockpit has been the center of life aboard: dinners at anchor, schoolwork during passages, fishing, cruisers' happy hours, and family holidays with a crowd onboard. The layout provides separation between living areas and sleeping cabins, which is a real advantage for extended liveaboard life.
Country Roads has also been a great platform for diving, wing foiling, surfing, fishing, and exploring. The sale includes a dive compressor and dive tanks, making the boat especially well suited for owners who want to enjoy remote anchorages above and below the water.
Country Roads is also very manageable for a couple sailing shorthanded. The raised enclosed helm provides a protected watch station with excellent visibility, and a second chartplotter in the saloon means navigation can be monitored while staying fully sheltered -- a significant advantage on long overnight passages and in unsettled weather.
Country Roads has been continuously improved and upgraded since 2022, first by the previous owners and then by us during our ownership. Key upgrades include twin Volvo Penta D1-30 diesels replaced in 2022, with approximately 2,221 hours port / 2,201 hours starboard, along with new standing and running rigging, new sails, new rudders, a 920Ah 12V lithium house bank, and 1,920W of solar. The electrical system is designed to support extended off-grid living in the tropics. These upgrades were made for offshore passagemaking and full-time cruising, not just coastal day sailing.
Country Roads has carried our family from the United States through the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the Galápagos, French Polynesia, Niue, Tonga, New Zealand, and now Fiji. The boat has proven itself across a wide range of ocean conditions on every leg of that passage.
We originally planned two years afloat. It became four, and the best years of our lives. We are selling because it is time to return to land, work, and school. Country Roads is ready for the next owners to step aboard and begin their own adventure. " Jack & Courtney, Fiji, July 2026

Saildrives received 2 barrier coats and 4 coats of ablative paint. Zincs were replaced.
