"Poppy" - a Gib Sea 44.2 Master Yacht
This beautiful French boat is a versatile cruising yacht with a hull optimised for speed and comfort. Her spacious three cabin interior and well designed cockpit make it ideal for cruising and performance. It's a remarkable choice for a sailing enthusiast seeking a robust enduring yacht.
The Gib'Sea is a very solid, well designed and balanced yacht built by Gibert Marine in France and has been a very popular long-distance racer and cruiser. It is a Joubert & Nivelt design that performs well at all speeds and therefore suitable for all types of sailing including racing, short and long-distance cruising or for a gentle relaxing cruise and "Poppy" is no exception, having cruised the east coast of Australia over the years.
She has been based at Magnetic Island for well over 10 years, and has enjoyed cruising the waters of Queensland together with social racing in the region, particularly Magnetic Island race week.
"Poppy" presents very well, having been continually maintained throughout her life. She is structurally in excellent condition and presents well with normal wear and tear. She comes with many extras including tools, all safety equipment (Danbouy etc), kitchen appliances (microwave, air fryer etc), 12v TV.
The well-maintained timber-lined interior is very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for family and friends or crew. The saloon consists of two sofas (with a main table and a small coffee table) which can both be turned into single bunks; both come with Lee cloths. There is also a separate chart table station as well as a main V-berth double cabin, two quarter berth cabins (doubles), a very neat well-maintained galley and 2 heads
