The current husband and wife owners have been sailing for 40 years having owned, raced and cruised 7 keel boats during that time.
Rassamond was imported into Australia in 2003 having sailed from the UK. We bought her in 2017 and sailed to Hobart from Lake Macquarie.
She has been a live aboard yacht since 2021 and has travelled over 10,00 Nm during the past 4 years doing a circumnavigation of Tasmania during Covid lockdown, then heading up Australia's east coast to Darwin before returning to Hobart then Strahan, King Island, Melbourne and Lakes entrance. She has performed well in Tasmania's waters and the tropical gulf waters.
This yacht is strongly built making her a great platform for coastal or offshore sailing. She carries her sails well and is comfortable to live on. Plenty has been written online about the Hallberg Rassy Rasmus model.
Her 1.5 mtr draft allows you to anchor close in near the shore, and her fuel consumption is modest, between 1.5 ltrs per hour and 2 ltrs per hour depending on engine revs.
