Guwara has been regularly used for club racing and family coastal cruising since 2011 and has been well-maintained for safety, racing performance, and comfort during cruising. She boasts a successful racing record and serves as a capable and comfortable family cruiser. Numerous key system upgrades have been undertaken over the last few years, including re-rigging (Nov 2018), engine servicing (Oct 2023), installation of LED lighting, a new integrated B&G electronics package, a new B&G autopilot, a new windlass and ground tackle, a new solar charging system, and enhancements to internet/WiFi connectivity, along with the addition of some new sails (race and cruise sails).
The current owners have lived aboard Guwara from June 2023 to January 2024, engaging in extended east coast cruising.
