28' Stuart Knockabout - The Stuart Knockabout is a design by L. Francis Herreshoff made in 1933 as a day sailor with swing keel and modest sail area but fast and easily handled with a displacement ballast ratio of 60% with 2400 lbs of lead in a total displacement of 4000 lbs. Her key dimensions are LOA 28.0 ft, LWL 23.0 ft, beam 6ft 11 ins, draft 2ft 9 ins - 5ft 9 ins, sail area 265 sq. Ft main & jib. " Shrimp " has a Torqueedo 1103C side mount outboard which can easily be lifted out of the water when sailing.
" Shrimp " was lifted and antifouled in December 23. Shrimp was a toy on the Super Yacht "Pink Shrimp" owned by Jack Setton. Shrimp was built by E&D Stuart Inc in Marion, Massachusetts in 2008, hull number 74, Serial number EADSK074K707 and was supplied to Jack Setton in October 2008 and I bought Shrimp from Jack and had her shipped from Sardinia to Perth.
