Two of those boats were built by Kanga Birtles in Australia to the design of Ron Holland for Swan 44 in Australia - Kanga wanted to win the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in 1982 with Sangaree but the classification was changed this year so he only made place 6 - consequently he sold her and we purchased her 8 years ago. She has been restored 2017 - completely rewired, a new engine as well as rigg ( rigg renewed again 2025 in Darwin). She comes with lots of sails - ask for list - the Raymarine autopilot, MFD Chartploter and wind instruments are on the boat and reconnected only the autopilot display unit needs to be reinstalled by you - we took it off so lightning would not damage it - just in case. So all you need to sail her safely from Darwin is on the boat including spare parts like belts and oil and water filters. Sangaree won everything there was to win in the 6 years we raced her in Singapore (2017-2022) so if you are looking for a great old style racing boat Sangaree will not disappoint. Relocating back to Australia from Singapore we sailed her leisurely from 2022 to 2024 back to Darwin, where she was again refitted so we could continue sailing her to Raja Ampat but our aging bodies don't allow us to do so - therefore we like to find a caring enthusiastic young couple to take her on.
