Description: Holman & Pye UFO34
Sojourn is a beautiful example of the UFO Mark II, she is very strong and powerfully rigged, graceful and a delight to sail. She was built by WA boat builders Yacht-speed and launched in 1987. She has competed in a number of offshore races, including the Bali race. Sojourn has sailed from Perth to Quindalup numerous times and with her generous tumble-hone, strong rigging and sail plan she is comfortable in any weather. For the last 10 years, she has been penned at RPYC in Crawley, sailed in twightlights and Wednesday sails. During that time, she has undergone several significant work items, including:
Complete rewiring and new instrument panel; Motor removed and overhauled; Topside repainted to white (previously yellow); Hull taken back to Gelcoat refaired; Rudder stock removed with new bearings installed; New folding prop and new drive shaft with leak proof seal; All standing rigging replaced in the last 12 months. All works were undertaken by professional shipwrights, marine mechanics, marine electricians and marine riggers. Receipts are available for all the work carried out.

Sojourn has an exceptional powerful rig with double back stays, double forward and aft lowers on either side of cap stays, inner forestay and main forestay. All rigging is eight mil stainless. Both the lowers on either side and the inner forestay have Hy fold leavers, making mast lowering easier. She is a very strong yacht and loves nothing more than 25 knots of breeze with her high cut number three and full main beating to windward.

Remarks
Sojourn was repainted in 2020 by Matilda bay marine, before that she had a yellow hull. Maltida Bay Marine also took below water line back to gelcoat and completely re sealed, primed, re painted and anti foaled her.

Special Note: something that may be of interest is the possibility of purchasing Sojourn's surveyed Quindalup number registed mooring. The mooring was last serviced in November 2023 by offshore marine with new riser, swivel and shackles. The mooring is in excellent condition and is only 80 metres from shore. The mooring has a quindalup registration number.
