Huon pine Motor sailer

Leonora 2 is a boat with provenance having been built by Tasmanian shipwright Mick Drake at Triabunna. Her previous owner was also a well known Tassie wooden boat builder, Bernard Wilson. This beautiful boat has served us well as a comfortable, functional live-aboard and coastal cruiser. The only reason we are letting her go is that we have had a lifestyle change of plans to go on an extended blue water sailing trip next year.
This boat MUST SELL so all reasonable offers are welcome.

She is currently on a swing mooring at Howden, which is only 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The mooring is available for sale or rent if needed.

The boat can be brought alongside at Margate Marina for viewing if prior notice is given.

Since owning her we have tidied her up and done extensive maintenance, including a full hull paint job, the decking timber recaulked, carpentry repairs, antifouling in May 2026, the stern gland packing replaced, the heat exchanger cleaned and the furling head sail replaced with a new Storm Bay sail.

She is insured with RACT.

Leonora is a solid, watertight, well maintained boat. This is a wonderful opportunity to become custodians of a classic Tasmanian built vessel.
