Constructed in Huon pine she is nothing but a pedigree both in sailing history and design.
NEW SYSTEMS INSTALLED.
Wild Wave has just undergone a complete new engine instal with a brand new 60hp Beta with upgraded hydraulic TMC 345H gear box and upgraded 120Amp Alternator, all with 5 years Warranty with Beta. We have also ordered a new Prop, new shaft and new lay shaft from Spectrum Engineering.
Installing new systems was the perfect opportunity to get down and dirty to clean, inspect and paint the bilges and all the aft areas to aft of the fuel tanks. Fuel tanks were completely removed, opened and inspected and blasted clean with newly installed sumps with drainage taps. New fuel lines and filters ensuring a completely clean and quarantined system.
Electrical systems will also be upgraded when the engines finally bedded.
We offer the new custodian the opportunity to be present in the last parts of installations, ie, aligning engine and bedding, connecting exhaust systems and sea strainer systems and antisyphon. Finally sea trials to run in the engine and tweek shaft alignment.
This really is a golden opportunity to be hands on and see the final preparation of this work and to become newly familiar with a brand new system.
Wild Wave is a well known yacht that has endured through many years of loving custodianship. She has been doted on for the last five years with the present custodian / boatbuilder.
She has many fascinating stories and articles about her history and voyages.
Having undergone a complete refit in 2009 she was stripped from the galley forward. Detailed documentation and photos for the refit are available.
Many upgrades have been carried out over the last five years both aesthetic and practical to better sea fairing and handling.
