2010 LAGOON 400 OWNER'S VERSION | "LE REVE" | NEVER CHARTERED | AIRLIE BEACH
Le Reve is a three cabin Owner's Version Lagoon 400, privately owned, never chartered, and rebuilt from 2022 onward as a full time liveaboard and off grid cruising catamaran.
The refit was carried out in 2022 to prepare her for taking the family up the east coast, so it was done to a cruising standard rather than a resale one. The mast came out of the boat for full re-rigging, with all new standing rigging and halyards, and every sail was replaced at the same time by Brad Anson Sails. New VHF and AIS antennas and cabling went in while the mast was down.
The structural bulkhead was fully rebuilt and reglassed at the same time. This is the item every informed Lagoon 400 buyer asks about, and on Le Reve it has already been dealt with.
The same year she was given a new galley with Caesarstone benchtops, new refrigeration, a dishwasher and an induction cooktop. The air conditioning was replaced in every cabin and the saloon. All the cushions and upholstery were redone, smart TVs went into every cabin, and the port forward head was converted into a full size laundry. A custom stainless steel arch was fabricated to carry the new solar array, the BBQ and the davits.
The power system was built for living at anchor: 14.4kWh of lithium at 24 volts, 1,900W of solar, a Victron MultiPlus 5000, and a 7kW Onan generator wired to start itself when the batteries get low. The watermaker makes 160 litres an hour.
She was hauled in June 2026 for antifoul, a full engine service and new saildrive seals, so there is nothing due. Both Yanmars have run around 2,500 hours a side. For a 2010 catamaran that is low.
The Owner's Version layout gives the whole starboard hull to the owner: a queen suite with a 65 inch smart TV, a separate office with a desk and monitor, a pantry, and a private head with a bidet. Two guest berths and a second head sit forward and aft to port.
If you intend to live aboard rather than visit on weekends, this is a different boat to the four cabin charter layouts that make up most of the market.
FROM THE OWNER
We bought Le Reve and moved aboard, so she was set up from the start as a long term home rather than a weekender. Everything on her was chosen by someone who was going to be living with it.
We sailed her from Sydney up to Airlie Beach with my wife and our two kids. She has taken the family everywhere we have pointed her and she has been comfortable doing it.
She is fitted out with every creature comfort you actually need. Air conditioning in every cabin, a proper galley, a dishwasher, a full size washing machine and dryer, hot water, unlimited fresh water from the watermaker, and enough lithium and solar to live off the grid without thinking about it. Air conditioning runs off the generator, which starts itself, so you are not out there managing power. It is closer to a floating apartment than a yacht interior.
The gear is all good gear, and having looked at what else is out there, I would put her up against any Lagoon 400 on the market. If you are shopping for a 40 foot catamaran, she is worth the trip to come and see.
The best part has been the family trips. That is what she was bought for and that is what she has delivered.
She has been maintained the whole way through and the recent work is documented. There is nothing waiting to be spent on her.

600Ah lithium house bank at 24V, 14.4kWh nominal. 1,900W solar on a custom stainless arch built 2022.2 x Victron MPPT solar controllers. Victron MultiPlus 5000 24V inverter charger. 2 x 50 amp 24V alternators, one per engine. 15 amp shore power with a Victron transfer switch and galvanic isolation. Cummins Onan MDKBL 7kW generator wired to the Victron system for automatic start on low battery. 240V and 12V outlets throughout. Touchscreen Home Assistant system monitoring and controlling the boat from one place.
Electronics
Raymarine Axiom 12in and Axiom 9in multifunction displays. New Raymarine autopilot. Raymarine Quantum solid state digital colour radar. Raymarine VHF with remote microphone at the helm. Vesper Marine WatchMate Vision Class B AIS transponder, transmitting and receiving, on the Raymarine NMEA 2000 network. New Raymarine transducer with fishfinder sonar. Quick QNC electronic chain counter at the helm. New VHF and AIS antennas and cabling fitted during the 2022 re-rigging.
Sail Inventory
All sails new in 2022, built by Brad Anson Sails. Harken MKIV Unit 3 headsail furler.
Mast / Rigging
Full mast off re-rigging completed 2022: all new standing rigging and all new halyards, with new VHF and AIS antennas and cabling fitted while the mast was down. The structural bulkhead was fully rebuilt and reglassed at the same time.
Deck Gear
Harken electric winches. Quick 1000W windlass with QNC chain counter at the helm.

Structural bulkhead fully rebuilt and reglassed. Full mast off re-rigging with all new standing rigging and halyards. All new sails by Brad Anson Sails. Custom stainless arch carrying the solar array, BBQ and davits. New galley with Caesarstone benchtops. Air conditioning replaced in every cabin and the saloon. All new cushions and upholstery. Smart TVs in every cabin. Port forward head converted to a full size laundry. All new SeaDek to the cockpit and aft deck.

Extensive spares inventory, including full service kits for both engines and both saildrives, spare engine mounts, a spare SD50 saildrive gearbox, a Gideon Coetzee SD50 upgrade kit (supplied, not fitted), spare ropes and lines, and a Karcher pressure washer.
