3-4 Owner Arrangement (Self-Managed)

Want Lagoon ownership without the full costs? We're forming a private, owner-run syndicate for a 2018-2020 Lagoon 42, based in Manly Harbour, QLD with a seasonal relocation to the Whitsundays each year.

Lagoon 42 (2017-2020 model year)
- Spacious 4 cabin, 4 head layout or the Owner's Version (3 cabins + larger owner's suite) - to be chosen by group consensus
- Well-equipped for coastal cruising
- Final purchase to be agreed by all syndicate members

Ownership & Costs
- 3-4 equal owners, depending on interest and usage needs
- Buy-in cost per share: approx. $200K-$250K
- A working float fund will be established at the time of purchase to cover initial running costs and maintenance reserves
- All ongoing costs split equally between owners
- Approximate monthly cost
* 3 owners: ~$1,150-$1,350/month each
* 4 owners: ~$900-$1050/month each
- This covers insurance, marina, maintenance, antifoul, detailing, and a Whitsundays delivery trip each year. A float fund is established at purchase to ensure smooth operation and cover reserves.

Self-managed syndicate - no management company fees
- Full cost transparency: insurance, marina, maintenance, and reserves shared openly

Management & Experience
- Syndicate managed directly by the owners
- Backed by experience: we previously owned and managed a Lagoon 380 for over 10 years
- Proven history handling maintenance, deliveries, and seasonal relocations
- Practical knowledge to keep costs down and standards high

Usage & Availability
- 11 months available each year (~335 days)
- 3 months in the Whitsundays (June-August)
- 8 months based at Manly Harbour, Brisbane
- 28 days reserved for delivery trips + annual maintenance

Per owner allocation:
- 3 owners -> ~112 days each/year
- 4 owners -> ~84 days each/year
- Online booking system for fair allocation, holiday rotation, and standby use

Fairness & Flexibility
- Holiday periods rotated annually between owners
- Online booking tool for easy reservations, swaps, and standby use
- Delivery trips shared between owners who wish to participate

4-Year Term
- The syndicate will run as a 4-year arrangement
- At the end of the term, owners can decide to:
* Sell the vessel and split proceeds,
* Renew the syndicate, or
- Buy/sell shares if members change
- Owners may also exit earlier by selling their share (subject to group approval of the new partner)
