LAVRANOS 36  SOLD

Just Listed - 1980 Lavranos 36 Sailing Yacht Sloop, although launched in 1984, Falkor by name, South African built, Cape Town. Designed by Angelo Lavranos a well respected Naval Architect who worked for Sparkman and Stevens and later Bruce Farr. Angelo himself owned a Lavranos 36.

The hull and deck are solid glass with a fibreglass over foam reinforcing grid making it extremely strong and impervious to rot. The hull to deck joint is an inward flange thru-bolted and completely glassed on the inside. All bulkheads are glassed to the hull and deck.

The Lavranos 36 was designed and built for offshore racing and cruising, the design won its class in several Cape Town to Uruguay races with the return journey via the Southern ocean.
