2015 Leopard 48 - Menagerie

Menagerie is a 2015 Leopard 48 delivering the proven performance, comfort and reliability for which this highly regarded cruising catamaran is known. Built by Robertson and Caine and designed by Simonis Voogd, she offers a well-balanced platform ideally suited to long-range bluewater cruising and comfortable liveaboard life.

The Leopard 48's signature forward cockpit creates a unique, protected social space with excellent airflow, seamlessly connected to the saloon. A raised helm station provides excellent visibility and straightforward sail handling, while her efficient hull design ensures comfortable cruising speeds and confident passagemaking.

Extensively upgraded for offshore capability, Menagerie has benefited from continuous investment by both previous and current owners. In 2021, she was outfitted for bluewater cruising with new headsail and mainsail, compression bar, bowsprit with 130m² Code 0, a 100L/hr watermaker, a full Victron electrical system including a 3000W inverter and 800Ah lithium batteries, Flexofold propellers and a new dinghy outboard.

Since purchasing the vessel in French Polynesia in 2022, the current owners have further enhanced safety and onboard comfort. In 2023, upgrades included 3500W of bifacial solar panels on a custom roof-mounted frame, a second 3000W Victron inverter for added offshore redundancy, new exterior cushions, a Highfield 3.6m tender, an electric single-stage dive compressor, custom racks for four dive tanks and complete replacement of standing and running rigging. In 2024, major maintenance works included replacement of engine and saildrive mounts, rudder bearings, a new low-pressure pump for the watermaker and a new 100m anchor chain. In 2025, the bowsprit and Code Zero furler were replaced.

Having cruised extensively throughout the South Pacific, Menagerie has proven her capability across a wide range of tropical conditions. Now located in Fiji and US registered, she is ideally positioned for continued Pacific cruising or onward passages to Australia, New Zealand or Southeast Asia. She is currently on the hard for cyclone season and will be presented with fresh antifouling for her new owners.

Below deck, she features a spacious four-cabin, four-head layout with additional crew accommodation. A cleverly converted forward head now serves as a dedicated laundry, enhancing practicality for extended cruising while remaining easily reversible. Generous living spaces, ample storage and a bright, functional interior complete a vessel designed for real-world cruising comfort.
