Lightwave 38 Sailing catamaran
Chara is a 2010 model Tony Grainger designed, Australian registered, Lightwave 38 sailing catamaran, built to survey in Coomera Australia by Lightwave Catamarans. We have owned Chara since 2016 and are the second owners. We have been full-time live aboard since 2019, cruising the Queensland coast until 2022, and cruising South East Asia 2022 till present time. As such, Chara presents as cruiser ready, to sail where ever you desire. Lightwave Yachts are recognised for their strong build quality, sailing performance, classic & stylish interior & exterior design, superior finishes that endure, featuring Tasmanian Oak, thoughtful use of conduits and access to all engineering which make for easier maintenance. Chara has a raised helm with seating for 2, allowing 360 degree visuals, especially handy for docking. Chara has benifited from a constant upgrade and maintenance program, having now just relaunched after new epoxy barrier coat and antifoul. Hard bimini gives full cover over cockpit, which is not seen on other LW38. Clears renewed 2024. Saloon, cockpit & helm seating renewed in Warwick fabris 2020,
