Lotus' could be described as an absolute 'barn find'. Ordered from the factory and delivered in 1982 she still is under the care of her original owner who has been loathe to put any screws into the beautiful timber interior so she still looks like the day she was delivered. The original cushions show no water marks or stains. Chain plates are shiny stainless and the port lights are clear. The 20 HP Yanmar has been lovingly managed and maintained and performs admirably. An Alan Wright design that is fast and seaworthy and with a quality New Zealand build. Step back in time to when boats were made by craftsmen with the best materials available but before electronics took over!

Accommodation

Lotus has a forward cabin v- berth for 2 with hanging storage and drawers. Mahogany veneered ply throughout is in very good condition. A port side enclosed head with sink, manual toilet. The main cabin has 2 settees either side of a table which has a slide out extension. Tempered glass portlights are clear and storage cupboards run underneath them. Settees can be used as single berths. Aft of the settees there is a galley on port and a nav table on starboard. Behind the nav table is a quarter berth. The engine is beneath the companionway stairs. The cockpit is large with a Portside deep long locker. Tiller steering with transom hung rudder.

Galley to port aft of saloon. U shaped. Stainless sink with manual Finspray hand pump. 2 burner gas stove with oven. Gas compliance plate dates to 1986, perhaps needs renewing. Bench top lid refrigeration, engine driven compressor. Good bench space and storage.

Nothing here for wind or electronic navigation. There is an original SSB radio and radio tuner set in the quarter berth. A Navman multi 3100 in the cockpit (depth, temp, log speed). 2 plastimo bulkhead compasses, one set either side of the cockpit, these can also be read from inside the cabin. A stereo CD player behind the chart table. A Schatz brass clock and matching barometer. 12 volt electrics professionally wired. 2 x MSST27 Exide marine batteries. 1 Delcor 22NF 300D 40 Amp Hour
