Martzcraft 35 Ketch

For sale is Mellow Mac, a 1987 Martzcraft 35ft Ketch.

This Martzcraft 35ft ketch is a proven ocean going, three quarter keel cruising liveaboard.

The Martzcraft brand are a very well regarded Australian production boat and a capable offshore cruiser for couples and families. She is also Australian Registered boat, and ready to sail overseas. This boat is bigger inside than most 40ft, while still maintaining the maintenance affordability and manoeuvrability of a 35ft.

This Martzcraft has been regularly serviced and maintained and has a light and spacious interior with a very generous sized head with good headroom throughout the entire boat.

The saloon is bright and features crafted timberwork and trim. The saloon has brand new foam and upholstery for the settee area (October 2024).

The v-bert is ample in size and sleeps 2 people comfortably. The mattress has been replaced in October 2024 for a new custom sized graphene mattress.

There is plenty of storage under the v-bert, and a 32L Engle freezer which slides out onto the settee area, making it easy to access.

The aft cabin is light and spacious with lovely crafted timber. There is plenty of storage under the bed (new Emma queen size), generous storage around the cabin and a big wardrobe with a full length mirror. This cabin is as big as most 40 footers.

The galley runs aft, along the starboard side and features a new ENO three burner stove with grill and oven, stylized timber cabinetry extending into a large new 60L Engle Fridge and providing ample bench space on top.

Along the port side of the vessel, the bathroom features a refitted copper plumbing system and a full-size standing shower with pressurised hot and cold water (new hot water system fitted in 2023).

Standing rigging was replaced in 2022. Lifelines were replaced in 2017. The main and the mizzen sails are in good condition and the headsail was custom made in September 2024. A radio head drifter, a spare headsail and a spare main sail complete the sail wardrobe.

She can carry 400L of water in four separate tanks, arranged in series and connected to a new water filtration system. The plumbing system was upgraded in 2023. All seacocks were replaced in 2021. Also, a new PSS shaft seal and all bilge pumps are new.

She is powered by a late model Kubota 38hp diesel engine, with capacity to carry 200L of diesel.

This Martzcraft had a complete refit of electronics including recently installed Raymarine autopilot, updated Garmin chart plotter, Furuno Radar, and Raymarine wind instruments.

New lithium battery system was installed in 2025 along with a full re-wiring of the vessel. It features 400W of solar power, 200A of lithium and a 3000W inverter.

The bow features a new windlass fitted in June 2023.

Wet blasting, complete painting of the hull as antifoul were completed in May 2025 at GCCM. A new prop shaft was installed as well as prop speed.

Outside, the boat features ample shade (custom made), new hatches (2025) and the safety of single handling the vessel without leaving the cockpit.

Mellow Mac is a clean and looked after boat, really spacious and is turn key ready for her new owner. The owners have lived in it full time for the past 5 years, and have done many upgrades to make this boat not only safe but truly comfortable.
