My partner and I have lived aboard and sailed the East Coast for the past year and a half. Later this year, we'll be setting off on a new adventure, sailing in Northern Europe, so it's time to put our home on the market.
For those unfamiliar with Martzcraft designs, they are renowned for their robust fiberglass construction, well-thought-out design, and seaworthy performance. Built for long-distance cruising, they offer a stable, forgiving ride in challenging conditions, making them ideal for bluewater adventures.
We have loved the spacious interior, especially the aft cabin, which is larger than those on many 40-footers. I have over 190 cm of headroom throughout, plus an incredible amount of clean, dry storage--as shown in the photos.
She is 100% ready to set sail and live aboard, currently moored in Port Macquarie Marina.
Over the past 18 months, we've upgraded and modernized so much that it's hard to list everything--but I'll try my best:
- Rigging replaced in 2015, including professional servicing and painting of masts and spars (still in excellent condition with no signs of wear).
- New 40hp Volvo Penta (2018) - 680 hours, fully serviced every 100 hours (last service 2 months ago: new filters, belt, and impeller).
- New 2.5m inflatable Zodiac + 5hp outboard - tender fits neatly on the bow or under davits, with a mounting block for the outboard on the pushpit.
- New 420W SunPower Maxeon 3 solar panel, Victron solar controller, and 300Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery (professionally installed 12 months ago).
- New 1500W inverter.
- New B&G Zeus S 7 plotter.
- New Raymarine autopilot.
- New Raymarine wind instrument (speed & direction).
- New electric 12V toilet.
- New gas hot water system for indoor and deck showers (also engine-heated 50L hot water tank, unused).
- New galley benchtop, large sink, retractable mixer tap, plus an electric saltwater tap.
- New 12V refrigeration, built-in with 130L+ fridge/freezer capacity.
- New premium custom mattress in aft cabin.
- New spray dodger, sail bags, and weather strip on headsail (professionally made and shockingly expensive).
Additionally, she has a large sail wardrobe, including:
- Spare furling headsail (like new)
- Spinnaker (like new)
- Staysail
- Spare mizzen
(Last count: 8 sail bags in total!)
We're motivated to sell, but we're also happy to do another short winter season in May off the QLD coast, so delivery north or back to Port Macquarie could be an option.
