This 1992 Moody Eclipse 43 deck saloon is as rare as they come. Designed by Bill Dixon and built by Marine Projects of England. Only 36 yachts were built between 1988 and 1992 and there are six in Australia. With its striking design and exceptional craftsmanship, this vessel stands out as a testament to yacht building.
The Moody Eclipse 43 offers a blend of comfort, performance, and luxury. With three cabins, two bathrooms, and a generously sized galley. The deck saloon bathes in natural light, providing panoramic views, while the cockpit invites relaxation and effortless socializing.
Designed for optimal handling and speed, the yacht boasts twin steering positions and delivers impressive cruising performance, both under sail and power. It comes fully equipped with premium features, including an inner forestay and running backstays for the storm jib and a custom-built stainless steel framework supporting the bimini and davits for the dinghy as well as providing raised "princess" seats.
This yacht has had a continuous maintenance program (all documented) plus extensive recent upgrades including B&G electronics, a 3KVA inverter, new batteries, a Seawater Pro water maker (80 litres per hour), a new 12volt BT 80 refrigeration compressor with digital controls serving a eutectic fridge and freezer and much more.
Easily handled by a couple but also able to be sailed solo, this yacht represents a great opportunity for those seeking a proven blue-water cruising vessel, with a shoal draft keel and a balanced rudder with a full length leading edge support. It is suitable for both coastal as well as blue water sailing with all the comforts of modern living at sea.
The yacht is in good mechanical, electrical and visual condition. The current owners have lived aboard and sailed the yacht over many years; along the east coast and across the Coral Sea to islands in the Pacific. The yacht comes on a walk off/walk on basis and is fully equipped with all for immediate offshore cruising including a full tank of diesel fuel.
