Moody S31

Designed by Bill Dixon, the Moody S31 aimed for an improved sailing performance from many of the earlier Moody models along with ample accommodation within a modest overall length. It succeeded admirably.
A perfect pocket cruiser for shorthanded, couples or small family cruising, Moody Blue offers a nice turn of speed and some go faster gear for club racing. A good quality sail wardrobe, good rigging and a well maintained 18hp Volvo Penta sail-drive with 2 blade folding prop, she is by any standard a lot of boat for her compact 31 feet.
This pocket cruiser has, thanks to her tiller steering, a large well appointed cockpit and a comfortable cosy interior easily accommodating six adults. Throughout 2016 and 17 she was given many upgrades including, New prop, dodger and bimini, solar panels, toilet, furler and side windows. In May 2025 her hull was sandblasted to remove years of excess antifoul buildup, re-epoxied, primed, antifouled and Propspeed applied.
