SUMMARY:

Tropical Abundance is a well maintained, comfortable and proven offshore cruiser.
She is easily handled both offshore and in an out of a marina. She is renowned for her fast sailing and is well equipped for long distance sailing.

A WORD FROM THE OWNERS:

"I am an avid surfer and have been coming to Fiji for 30 years. It wasn't until 2023 where I really noticed all of the sailboats in and around the Mamanuca islands and especially anchored at the world famous surf break "Cloudbreak" which is my favorite spot to surf on the planet. I had spent many years visiting the island of Tavarua and dreamed of having a boat to explore and surf in and around Fiji. I had been looking for a year and Tropical Abundance (ex "Sunny") popped up. Once I saw her online I knew she was the one. I loved hearing about her voyages with multiple families spanning many years and many miles. I knew that her being a smaller cat I would be able to man here alone and boy was I right. She is a true delight to sail and handle. Her layout is super unique and homy. With her 3 berths, spacious salon and accommodation galley she is a special cat. The Privilege is a very sought after hull and now by experiencing here I understand. She is older but never lacks character and usage. If you know the Privilege you know, and if you don't I highly recommend having a go on this incredible yacht. Sadly after 2 years of living my dream in Fiji doing what I thought was not possible I've decided (because of my family in California I am not able to use it as often as I would have liked to) it's time to let her go to the next owners to enjoy and explore! It's been such an amazing experience and I'm delighted to pass it along!" (Troy E. Fiji, July 2026)

Electrics
The solar system is split into two independent systems for optimal generation.

400Ah of lithium batteries (equivalent to 720Ah of lead acid).  Lithium batteries allow a more powerful windlass to be installed - and enables sailing off anchor without starting the engines.  It also means the solar system is able to charge much more efficiently.  The alternators are only needed for service battery charging in an emergency.

The original design is a single starter battery which starts both engines.  This was reconfigured to allow each engine to run off its own starter battery for safety and peace of mind. Electrics include:

2 x 12v alternators with sterling protection devices
4 panels x 330w on Davits with 2 x Victron MPPT controller
Main Switchboard 12V DC
220V AC in Starboard engine compartment

Mainsail and genoa upgraded specifications for offshore cruising:
- 10 oz dacron instead of 8oz
