Description: Ringle 39
Flagstaff Marine is pleased to have sold the stunning Ringle 39 'Saga'.

The Ringle 39 is a blend of modern yacht technology with timeless values from the high art period of yacht design, reminiscent of the first half of the twentieth century. The designer, Andy Dovell, who has been seminal in modern Australian yacht design from America's Cup challengers to fast blue water racers, was asked to create a yacht of classic beauty to turn heads but also be very fast and fun to sail; a yacht that would constantly surprise and delight from every angle; a yacht that would inspire pride of ownership. We believe she meets the mark.

Constructed of in a composite of strip planked Thynkado - a variety of lightweight Mahogany - impregnated with GRP in a treatment similar to the West System, the hull is strengthened with carbon-clad wooden ribs. On deck, foam-cored Airex is clad in 9mm Burmese teak, sunk low enough to allow for traditional bulwarks. The cabin sides again are teak and nicely finished off with elliptical portholes. Throughout, hand crafted stainless fittings, including pop-up deck cleats, polished stainless fairleads and sunken eyelits finish off an elegant deck.

Below deck there are no linings or bulkheads inside, only elegant touches of fine but lightweight natural timber finishes, so there is an uninterrupted view forward to the bow showing all the functional aspects of sailing yacht fitted with care and attention to detail. The red leather upholstery and stainless steel fittings compliment the modern, classic, luxury look.

Where the Ringle really shines though is under sail whether looking at her or at the helm. The deep (2.65m) T-keel is lead with an alloy fin which means plenty of stability to hold the powerful carbon rig with its 70 square metre sail area, while a deep carbon spade rudder is gives plenty of grip to windward. She flies in light airs and is plenty of fun in a strong breeze too, on the Ringle you're more than capable of winning club races against many fast racing yachts.

She is easy to sail short handed yet you can take up to 8 on board when you want your guests to enjoy the fun. The deck and rigging gear is all modern, high spec and simple to use with Navtec hydraulic vang, mast jack pump system, Selden below deck furler, Pontos 4 speed headsail winches, and electric mainsheet winch. The Volvo diesel with only 400 hours is smooth and provides plenty of power when motoring to the start line or home after a few evening drinks under anchor.

Saga is a joy to look at and a pleasure to sail or just be on board.
