This Roberts (South Coast 36) 36 ft ketch is a very capable blue water vessel. Its robust construction is comforting in heavy seas, while the benefits of its full length keel are evident in vessel handing in following seas. The ketch sail arrangement includes a staysail, which provides a range of sail plan options depending on the conditions and wind direction.
Regular slipping combined with a steady upkeep and refurbishment program, presents this vessel in extraordinary condition for its age.
A feature of this design is the large volume below decks, providing a very spacious cabin with plentiful head room. The cockpit arrangement allows a very useful area for crew to relax when underway or at anchor. The vessel is actually a Roberts Custom, in that the deck line towards the stern is lower, facilitating easy on/off access when at a berth.
Passages include much of the east Australian Coast (Whitsundays to Tasmania), and Noumea with previous owner. The most recent passage was 1800 nm returning in Sep 2025.
Available for inspection by appointment in Port Stephens area (NSW).
