Designed by Australian multihull designer Jeff Schionning, this Wilderness 1230 is a Catamaran for people who want to sail rather than simply motor between anchorages. The Wilderness range is known for pairing lively performance with comfortable cruising accommodation. Light weight and with a shallow draft, the design open's up anchorages that deeper boats can't reach. The twin mast rig sets this one apart from the usual, giving it real character on the water and exhilarating performance that has yet to be fully tested. Launched in December 2021, the Carbon Fibre Mast's finally arrived from New Zealand in 2025 and the as new rigging and sails were tuned for the first time. Prior to then, the twin Lombardini diesel sail drives enabled the owner to test all systems onboard and enjoy the substantial accommodation whilst cruising to the local islands clocking up 85 hours of running time. Onboard systems are self supporting with Solar Panels, Lithium power banks and a Victron 240 volt Inverter. The saloon opens up to the large cockpit deck space and is equipped with a SMEV Oven, three burner Stove Top and Dometic refrigeration. Hot water is supplied by a diesel heated storage unit and there is a washing machine for extended voyages. There are two large double bed cabins in the bow of each hull and another double in the aft of the starboard with the spacious bathroom located in the port. The light and bright saloon also offers additional accommodation. Other features include a Sirooco tender and Mercury outboard supported by davit's, a Quick anchor winch with a remote control, and a Victron Power Controller to monitor onboard systems. Visually striking with it's twin mast's, a catamaran with this much personality rarely comes along so it has to be seen to be appreciated and is available for viewing here at our Fremantle premises.
