No wonder these vessels were such a huge hit for Seawind with hundreds sailing around the world providing great experiences for owners.
Moving forward from the brilliant, long, extended transoms, that were a feature of the XL update, you move up 3 gradual stairs to the huge cockpit area. This integrated cockpit/saloon indoor/outdoor design creates a single space that's normally available only in much larger boats. The front windows that open with gas strut assistance solve provide excellent ventilation throught this main living area.
The air space between the aft edge of GRP hardtop that covers the cockpit and the targa frame extended with zip-off canvas to provide an extended roof that is removable. If the weather turns nasty, the saloon can be closed in by canvas. The stainless steel targa frame houses two large teak seats, large solar panels and davits.
Overall for a boat of this size there is plenty of deck space to enjoy all around, on the front trampoline, and on the roof. Sailing is easy, fun and fast with an electric winch to pull up the large mainsail and a self tacking headsail to making tacking a breeze. The reviews speak for themselves and the Seawind 1000XL is no doubt a sailors delight.
Talisker sports an owner's layout, with a large aft bathroom and raised double bed, centrally located in the port hull. There is also an additional forward berth. The hull windows are huge bringing in an abundance of light and provide fantastic views from the beds or head. These huge windows are mimicked on starboard too, and are a wonderful feature of this top selling model.
The starboard hull had double berths at both ends, separated by a huge galley with full-height cupboards, plenty of bench space and a two-burner gas cooker and two-bowl sink. The cupboards and trim are made from American oak, the common area floors were finished in striped teak/holly.
This fine example of the Seawind 1000XL is ready to enjoy with 2 brand new Tohatsu 20HP outboards just fitted in 2022, and many upgrades since 2021.
