Jacana II

A Roger Simpson 30' Woodwind, meticulously constructed (as evident from joinery) by an unknown builder using Western Red Cedar and hoop pine, glassed over and inside below waterline. This sleek design with expressed curves, custom design soft top, (slimming the overall weight and allowing for rotating mast to make the most of the wind) and slightly larger Trampoline space then original plans has been designed to be lightweight and fast on the wind.

Drawing only 65cm, with lift up rudders and dagger boards she can be tucked well out of the weather, easily beached, or anchored where we enjoyed the most well inside the reef complex, allowing for superb fishing and diving.

Auto-tacking Jib track, spinnaker furler and 3 cockpit winches make sail manouvering and trimming easily managed from the cockpit out of the weather.

Motor integrated into external spectra steering cable running between two rudders ensure superb manoeuvrability.
