Designed by Colin Ayres and built by Sun Yachts in Fremantle Western Australia, Sherper has been upgraded with everything needed to explore offshore in comfort.
This yacht has been a most comfortable home for our family and friends over the last two years as we sailed her from Carnarvon, Western Australia to Queensland. A surprise baby born along the way means we need a few years off the water while he learns to swim (and walk!).
Sherper can be sailed single handed from the protection of the cockpit with furling mainsail and genoa, all sheets running to the helm and 2 electric winches to assist. If the wind dies down, twin Sabre Perkins M65 horsepower enginges will get you reliably to your next anchorage or marina.
Sherper's cockpit is massive, allowing ample room whilst underway and comfort while at anchor. The high hard top provides ample shade without restricting your view, and the built in drawer fridge provides cool beverages while entertaining. A Weber 2200, stainless steel double sink and bench space allows you to cook outside and enjoy your surroundings.
The saloon is spacious with impressive headroom throughout and berths to sleep 8. The galley has ample bench space for cooking beautiful meals and storage space for provisions for long journeys. Two refrigerators and three freezers mean you can enjoy fresh produce for longer and eat well at sea.
More than ample solar, lithium battery bank and a fast watermaker, means you can stay off grid for longer. Recently surveyed in April 2025, she is all set up and perfectly positioned for her next adventure in the most beautiful sailing grounds of Australia.
