Swanson 36 'Calista'

First launched in 1990,"Calista" is a well renowned Swanson 36 and the last build of her kind, being known for their solid construction and seakindliness. Calista has undergone extensive upgrades and repairs in 2024/25, truly making her ready for adventures to come.

Calista is an Australian Registered Vessel and is a capable off-shore sailing vessel, having voyaged from South Australia to the archipelagos of Papua New Guinea with former owners. In addition, the previous three owners having all lived aboard Calista full time is a testament to her comfort and practicality. My partner and I are currently living aboard and cruising full time on the Queensland Coast, making our way south to Gladstone.

In the nearly 2 years we have owned Calista, we have put in a great deal of love, effort and consideration into major upgrades, repairs and maintenance. It has been a privilege to sail a vessel such as Calista, with her elegant lines and steadfast reliability.

With a well documented history, we are more than willing to provide any additional information and photos you may require.

*** Note: Currently in the Whitsundays traveling south. Please contact us for our next port or we can arrange a viewing location along the way.

** Engine hours, Calista has had 2 Yanmar engines. The first lasting 500 hours before a full replacement in 2010. The instrument panel remained the same carrying on the orginal hours. Note tachometer reads 3900 without deducting the first engine hours.
