Rare to the market, premium quality bluewater cruiser in cruise ready condition. Owner recently sailed Tutkum from Australia to Indonesia, so she is cruise ready, however, sails and equipment etc are stored below as she is on the hardstand so easier to inspect below waterline.
This is hull number 101 so is a successful and popular design indeed for world cruising. Currently registered USCG, MA, USA.
Designed by globally renowned performance cruising yacht specialist, Bob Perry, Tutkum's hull is solid fibreglass, her interior is beautifully fitted with teak by highly skilled craftsman in Taiwan and she offers luxury living with all the modern conveniences of an apartment on the water at sea or at anchor for the select few who have the budget to afford this premium brand.
The spacious island bed master stateroom aft is stunning with it's craftsman teak cabinetry, soft lighting, lots of storage, corian bench tops and quiet ambience.
The forward guest cabin mimics the master in that it is nearly as luxurious as the Master... Some would say too comfortable for guests because they would never want to leave.
The high quality systems ( engineering, plumbing, electrical, electronics) have excellent access for trouble shooting and the owner has been fastidious with his preventative maintenance program to minimise breakdowns at sea or remote places. Just in case, there are lots of spares (he hopes for the best but plans for the worst).
Tutkum was on the hardstand for 2 1/2 years here at The Boat Works over the COVID period so when the owner returned to his boat from the US in MAy 2022 he undertook a major maintenance refit as follows:
- Major service by Yanmar : new saltwater pump, new fresh water pump, new engine beds, new starter, full inspection and testing of injectors, new cutlass bearings....
- All the electronics replaced, new chart platters, new radar, new wind vane, new autopilot ( all Raymarine, all under warranty)
- All winches re greased and maintained,
- All sails checked by a sailmaker.
- Watermaker, fully checked.
- Diesel in tank treated & polished
- Replaced all batteries on board (starters with AGM), House with Lithium ion, all under warranty.
- All electrical systems inspected.
- New windless chain counter
- Since standing rigging was completely replaced on Sept/2019 it was only inspected again by "Everything Marine" and tuned.
- Both outboards fully serviced by Yamaha & Mercury mechanics
- basically every system was completely completely gone through and/or replaced.

This past season she was sailed up the Great Barrier Reef of Australia and through Raja Ampat to Lombok.
- In Lombok the bottom of the boat was sanded down for a full inspection ( and to remove excess built up anti fouling layer). Her bottom is in excellent condition and can be inspected. Her sides & deck were cleaned and polished and left with an extra layer of polish for protection.
- She was than covered up and left in storage mode until the owner returns in June 2023 to continue cruising to Phuket if she is not sold.
