Centre cockpit offshore passagemaker and coastal cruiser presented in very good condition with remarkable space below. Vailima features a fully protected pilothouse, beautiful interior timber fit out, and a stunning aft cabin with walk-around bed. Length 41' (12.5m), beam, 4.27m, draft 1.75m, 13 tonnes, fin keel. Designed by Ben Lexcen this very robust and stable vessel, launched in 1992, was built by Rosin Fibreglass (QLD) and fitted out by Buttrose (QLD). She has been well maintained throughout her life. Presented with a very comprehensive inventory suitable for bluewater sailing and coastal crusing along Tasmania's rugged south and west coasts. Extras include diesel heating, solar and wind power generation, good sail inventory from storm sail to MPS, excellent ground tackle, and essential spare parts. In the past five years extensive replacements, upgrades and improvements have been comissioned by the current owner including: New engine(Beta 50 Hp, ~410 hours, cruise speed 5 - 8 knots), new exhaust system, 3 x new fuel tanks (~420 L), new fuel lines, new switch panels and 12 volt wiring throughout, new Air Silent X wind generator, new bilge pumps, plus numerous other improvements. Davit mounted tender - Highfield 2.9m RIB with sun protection cover, beach wheels, and 9.9Hp Yamaha outboard, all in as new condition. Vailima has made three trips from Queensland to Tasmania, one trip to Lord Howe Is, and three trips along Tasmania's south and west coast to north of Port Davey. Vessel is moored at Coningham Beach, TAS 7054.
