Built in San Diego in 1995 by Doug McGraw, this vessel spent 8 years (1997-2005) successfully cruising the US West Coast, Mexico, and the Pacific Islands. Fully imported into Australia in 2005 (while retaining its US registration), Etak has just completed a comprehensive 2024-2025 refit and is ready for its next blue-water adventure or comfortable live-aboard lifestyle.

Fast, Safe, and Simple. Designed for effortless short-handed sailing, Etak features a highly efficient, user-friendly Twin Carbon Fibre Mast configuration. Two identical unstayed carbon fibre masts (42ft above deck, 10ft below) with 4.6m booms. Sails: 2 loose-footed "sock" mainsails that rotate on the masts with 3 reef points. Handling: All lines, sheets, and user-friendly triple rope clutches lead directly to a safe, dry cockpit with a hard dodger. Features Lewmar 45 self-tailing winches. Reliable 27 HP Yanmar 3GMD Inboard Diesel (Shaft Drive) with 2,600 hours. Fuel Consumption: Highly efficient 2.5 - 3.0 litres/hour (108L fuel capacity). Power: 2 deep-cycle 12V batteries powered by 4 Solar Panels (2 on deck, 2 on arch) with premium aircraft-standard wiring. Water Systems: 130L water tank, supplemented by a PUR 35 Watermaker. Galley features pressure tank water alongside saltwater and freshwater foot pumps. Spacious Accommodation & Interior: Built with tall sailors in mind, the clean white interior boasts an impressive 6'4" full headroom and extra-long berths. Layout: Forward cabin features a functional galley and a large, wide dinette area. Aft cabin hosts the navigation table. Separate head with a manual pump-out toilet, plus a forepeak cabin and extensive storage throughout. Climate: Foam-core deck and cabin wall insulation keeps the boat exceptionally cool in the tropics.

Galley & Refrigeration includes a double sink with abundant storage. Equipped with a small, deeply insulated (6-inch foam) fridge-freezer, plus an additional cool box built into the dinette seating.

Ground Tackle: Dual 555 Sea Tiger Windlasses over 2 independent chain lockers. Includes 2 large Delta anchors, a large Fortress stern anchor, spares, and a 1/2-inch gold braid nylon rode. Storm Tactics: Includes a 12 ft parachute anchor and a Jordan Series Drogue. Safety: Man Overboard Retrieval System, 3x inflatable suspender-type life jackets, Halon gas and dry chemical fire protection. Pumps: Manual Henderson Mark 5 bilge pump + a 12V Rule automatic bilge pump. Tender: 12-foot folding Porta Bote with 7-foot oars and a 3.5 HP outboard.
