CYGNET 5.8 RIB CUSTOM REFURBISHED JET POWERED INFLATABLE  

Originally a 2000 model WA built Cygnet this rigid inflatable jet boat has been fully customised and refurbished to far exceed the original build specifications. Coming in at 6.4m overall (registered at 5.85) this is an very versatile vessel with an extremely shallow draw which underwent a 4 year complete refurbishment and presents in better than new condition. If you're new to inflatables they are renowned worldwide for their stability at rest and underway, superior ride and shock absorption abilities, buffering effects when coming alongside other vessels and structures and unmatched buoyancy capacities making them extremely safe, user friendly and perfect for Western Australian conditions.
The project was started in late 2016 when I rescued the shell from Qld and had it trucked home to WA for a full overhaul with practically no square inch untouched. It was relaunched in early 2021. Reluctantly offered for sale as we have purchased a larger boat.

New thermal welded PVC tubes with sun covers fitted by WestRibs.
Extensive custom S/S bar work by West Coast Marine Fabrication inc twin loop forward arcing Targa with huge fixed sun shade, console grab rails and supports, bow rails and swim platform rails.
Custom Top and upholstery work by Boat Canopys WA.

HULL
Fully rebuit.
New forward bulkhead, extended up to over tube bow sprit (housing a Tuff Dog electric drum winch, savwinch anchor roller and SARCA # 2 anchor) resulting in a huge forward storage locker behind the backrest cushion. HD tow eye backed by extensive reinforcing and a 6mm thick stainless steel plate.
New solid central bulkhead.
90l underfloor fuel tank
Custom full width swim platform with under mounted S/S telescopic ladder.
New matching oversized console and helm leaning post. Leaning post has side mounted fire extinguisher, rear facing access hatch and grab rail and access to further concealed underfloor storage space. Console has been extensively modified. Front left crn chopped for maximum port side offset. Huge 2 compartment built in esky/storage under front seat with drain tubes extending rearward. Recessed s/s drinks holders and mobile phone cradles. Huge storage compartment with tie downs for securing jerry cans. (2x 10l included could fit 2x 20l if preferred)
Custom lipped timber table top with UV stabilized poured resin and recessed s/s drinks holders on engine box with 2x gas struts for effortless lifting.
Fold down rear seats on custom solid bases with lift off separating hinges.
2x custom enclosed deck drain chambers with bilge pumps and a separate main bilge compartment pump with auto/manual operation.
Extensive s/s deck accessories including cleats, air vents, ski tow point, skin fittings, hinges, latches, handles, tie down points etc etc ALL NEW.
Teak look EVA foam flooring throughout.
Topside with new gelcoat all over. Underside done in 2 coats of Northane Shipshape primer and 2 coats of Northane Norgloss Topcoat. Extremely durable 2 part Polyurethane specialty marine finishes. All storage compartments flowcoated.

ELECTRICS (ALL NEW)
Tinned copper wiring throughout.
2x Optima Marine batteries managed by a voltage sensitive relay when underway and a mounted 240v dual charge and maintain system when on the trailer with a 240v skin fitting plug at the rear for ease of access.
Lowrance Elite Ti 9 inch Plotter/sounder with Navionics Navigation card and 1 kw transducer.
GME 27mhz marine radio and Bluetooth AM/FM stereo.
USB/Cig sockets with digital volt meters in the gloveboxes.
Easy access dash mounted fuse panel.
Analog gauges (tacho, 2x volts, fuel and temp)
Dash mounted switch and circuit breaker for the electric anchor winch.

RUNNING GEAR
175hp Mercury SportJet power pack which uses the legendary 2.5l V6 upright outboard block sitting on top of the incorporated 90' reduction drive gearbox and jet unit.
New genuine wiring harness, stator and starter motor.
Chris Carson Marine Service composite reeds and stuffer boxes.
Mild port and polished reed block with new gaskets inc, carbs, and new linkages.
Full service and tune by HiTech marine at time of relaunch and serviced again late 22.
Oil injection removed system removed in favour of pre-mix for bullet proof reliability.
Overhauled Jet pump with rebuilt impellor and custom machined s/s liner insert. Annual pump service just completed.

OTHER
2x Inflatable fenders, extendable grab hook, canister toilet under front hatch. All upholstery is removable. Sound insulation in engine bay. Dual looped Docking line. Full storage cover. Folder full of receipts, workshop manual, custom tools included. Dummy shaft for lathe, engine lifter, custom impellor socket, frankenstine impellor puller.

TRAILER
Licensed 2000 model WA built Trailit single axle trailer in excellent condition.
Full roller model with all new white rollers (24) and protection strips on all cross members.

Inspection will not disappoint. Was built as a surf boat at huge expense hence the name 'Bill$ Rip Quik' but has also been used as family cruiser and been to Rotto under its own steam multiple times. Cruises at just over 20 knots top speed 40 knots. Would be an awesome bay hopping Rotto/Abrolhos tender to big cruiser. Open to offers, may part trade (up or down).
