Refurbishment Opportunity
Vessel Overview
The Wavelength 780 is a very comfortable, roomy, stable, and easily driven trailable tri, with a modern, stylish, eye-catching profile on the water and a clear cruising emphasis in construction and fit out.
A partial refurbishment and restoration are currently well underway on this Wavelength 780 trailable trimaran. Due to a recent major health issue affecting the owner, there is now an opportunity for an enthusiastic trimaran sailor to acquire the original Wavelength 780--one of only five built in Australia--and complete the refurbishment for a fraction of the effort and expense of a full new build. This vessel is the designer's own yacht and is reluctantly offered for sale.
History and Use
Since her launch and early participation in trailable yacht events on Moreton Bay and Hervey Bay, the yacht has also undertaken extended adventure cruises along various parts of the Queensland coast, including visits to offshore reefs and islands. Now, the vessel is due for a tidy up, a fresh coat of paint, partial replacement of the 'synthetic rope' rigging (originally 7mm Dynex Dux), new main wing nets, and other minor gear upgrades.
Current Refurbishment Status
At present, the trimaran is empty for refurbishment, with some hatches and deck fittings removed. Surface blemishes and scratches have been epoxy filled and sanded in preparation for repainting. Most of the touch-up undercoating is complete, ready for sanding and top coating, with the pop-top and hatch covers already fully repainted.
Trailer and Registration
The boat and trailer are both currently registered. The trailer has had all bearings replaced and the brakes serviced in preparation for on-road towing.

An inventory of the principal items included in the sale is available. The vessel is currently located in Priestdale, 25 km south-east of Brisbane city centre.
