This Chaparral 270 was ordered by the current owner in 2008 with build times and shipping delays not seeing the boat hit the water until 2010.

Launched in 2010 this is a typical Chaparral 270 signature cruiser with all the features we have come to know from this manufacturer. Imported by the current owner directly from Chaparral this is a one owner boat a rare position to see in the current market.

We all like to have a BBQ on a hot summers day on the water so we know you will love the Sovereign SS BBQ mounted to the SS swim platform railing as you step off the jetty onto your Chaparral 270 Signature. A recessed ladder hides under the Starboard side platform with a general storage locker under the Port side, easy access through the transom door past the deck shower, radio controls and transom trim switch. Its a clever idea.

The Cockpit area of the Chaparral boats is very clever use of space. The rear lounge has a three position backrest allowing you to face backwards and watch the world drift by, face forwards and watch the world approach you or lay flat for an awesome sun bed while swinging off the anchor in your favourite bay. The sunpad hides a great storage locker with your rear table neatly pinned into place. It does get better though ! The twin helm seat with its bolster cushions swivel all the way around to join the Cockpit party seating 4 pax around the table. An ideal and very clever installation indeed. With your port side sink and esky recess right at hand during lunch its almost the perfect fit out.

Spin the Helm seat back around, we are off to Rotto. Great vision from the helm, bolster seats if you want more height. A concise yet functional helm layout with Digital / analogue gauges, Raymarine sounder / GPS combination, lenco trim tabs and your Raymarine VHF radio. Tilt the helm wheel for just that right amount of comfort. Slide back into the heavily padded seating and we are underway. Your family can take a seat in the Port side lounge and keep you company.

Slide the Cabin door open, it doubles as the steps forward to the bow and take a couple of steps down into the forward cabin. Space is well thought out with a generous serving of space, more than a comparative Searay thats for sure. Headroom is respectable as is the beam of the boat in the forward areas. Everything you need is on hand with a twin berth forward when the dinette is not in use teamed with an aft transverse berth you have sleeping for at least 4 pax. Utilise the Cockpit sunpad for an additional 2 pax. Your Galley to Port with all you need to keep the family well feed, isotherm fridge, Contore microwave and Kenyon stove when on shore power with a reasonable amount of storage and prep area. Not my first concern on a boat but there is a TV with DVD, kids do you remember these ? along with the master head of the Clarion stereo system

Powered by a Mercruiser 377Mag seacore petrol driven stern drive with just 386 hours on the clock. The seacore range of engines are built with a higher internal finish in the hope of reducing overall wear as time slips by. A fresh water cooled engine with a duoprop fitted it is the right package for this boat. Residing on a Seahawk alloy framed I beam style tandem trailer built tough with a 4445kg rating you will need a top tier 4WD to tow this boat or sell off the trailer re-coat the antifoul and slide her into your berth. There is good value in this trailer !
