This beautiful 21-foot vessel was built by Alfreddo Formeani, an Italian shipwright in Sydney in 1950. In 2004 she underwent a full restoration and today presents in great condition. The rebuild was professionally done by Bruce Gault, a shipwright based at Taren Point NSW, where her hull was Dynel sheathed, a new teak and mahogany deck and transom were fitted and the engine was also rebuilt. The current owner purchased her sight-unseen in 2021 with the sole purpose to use her as a Swan River picnic cruiser. He has enjoyed getting the engine up to reliable operating condition by fitting a 12V low pressure fuel pump, having the 4-barrel Holly carburettor fully rebuilt, pulling the engine out for a full service and paint, along with a cooling system service, and finally a new Tide dripless shaft seal installed in 2023. The hull was recently antifouled and propspeed was applied to the running gear.

'Amanti' is powered by her original Chrysler 318 V8 water cooled marine engine, coupled to a Velvet Drive 1:1 gearbox, straight shaft and 4-blade prop. With her straight through exhausts, she sounds incredible yet certainly not obnoxious, the classic note of the engine and stunning lines, truly turns heads where ever she goes. The smooth steering and shift controls fitted to the forward helm position make her an absolute joy to drive.
