Jim Young 7.8 Trailer Sailer Rocket 780 - OF1
Young 780 Rocket originally build by the late great Ian (Perce) Perdriau and first launched approx 1984 out of strip plank cedar / huon pine / marine ply.
Complete rebuild by Cos Karpouzis - Nautifix Shipwrights Wollongong / Shellharbour. Relaunched 26th January 2025
Over $100k spent on rebuild and refit. Have all receipts. Wish her to be used regualrly i am doing other things.
Only standard rated Young 780 Rocket as i understand with the 3/4 Rig. Rig is masthead capable and hull is bowsprit ready if you wish.
Original Winged Keel is still the boats feature.

Rigging all certified by Infinity Rigginf of Taren Point and repainted / refitted etc etc
Yamaha 5hp 4 stroke outboard 1 year Old
Ian Short Sails, brand new spinnaker (flown once), new mylar square top mainsail 1 yeasr old, Dacron Jib a couple of years old.
Good trailer, new axles and brakes fitted a few years ago. Ford Fairmiont Wheels.
Powerwinch 912.
Multiple old sails.
Comes with boat cover that fits when the boat is rigged on trailer.
Also has window covers.
Cabin Cushions
If nothing else she is a wonderful vintage wooden boat nowdays that is still fast and fun. Original Plans come with the boat.
