Princess 18 1978 Trailer Sailer

Relisted with update: Now with 3 new wheels and tyres. New bearings in the wheel hubs (Photos not updated yet).
Engine serviced and given clean bill of health.

The Princess 18 is an Australian Design Award winning 18- foot trailer sailer designed by John Lucke, known for its raised deck and voluminous cabin. It's a family, leisure, and cruising boat, featuring twin swing keels, recessed into the bed frames, and a 200kg ballast. Originally built by Princess Yachts, it's a fibreglass/GRP boat with a 5.49m length and 2.13m beam.
This is a much loved, excellent example of this Classic Australian Trailer Sailer. I am the second owner.
Easy to Sail - great to learn on
Dinghy rig
4 Berth
Stored under cover, motor just serviced. Regretful sale due to teenage sons only wanting to take out the "fast boat" (our bowrider), and I don't want to see her sit idle.
I have owned her since 2006, and have had innumerable great days, first sailing, the putt-putting around with her as a cabin cruiser when the boys were little. Camp-outs with the metho stove and 4 berths, and unmatched cabin for a boat this side. Lazy days swimming and picnics on the flat deck and spacious, stable cockpit.

She has many inclusions, including 3 Jibs, genoa, furler for headsail, 2 mains, boom tent, soft and hard cabin doors, mosquito net for hatch, folding table which can go inside or in the cockpit, inside and cockpit cushions, paddles, boat hook. Mast, boom and rigging has been stored inside, safety gear, Garmin Echo 150 sounder, safety gear, 2 fuel tanks (10l, 20l),

So much storage, under the bunks, under the cockpit floor and behind cockpit.

We upgraded to a new 8hp Yamaha 2 stroke Long Shaft in 2014. All sails and rigging have been safely stored in my storage unit since the boys were born (and she became a defacto runabout) and are in good condition.

Super safe with nearly 150% buoyancy, self righting, self draining cockpit and a solid cabin door.

She's due to have her keels dropped out and fresh gal, to prevent from corrosion. Custom tilt trailer is solid, and I have kept the cold gal up to her since I got her in 2006, and was recently serviced with the motor, and given new tyres, wheels and bearings.
